Tom’s Journey: Losing 50 Pounds in 90 Days with CrossFit Showdown

Tom’s journey at CrossFit Showdown is nothing short of inspiring.

In just 90 days, he has transformed his life by shedding an incredible 50 pounds, going from 300 pounds to 250 pounds.

As a devoted father, Tom’s motivation to change stemmed from a desire to be a better role model for his son, who often joins him at the gym, witnessing firsthand his dad’s commitment to health and fitness.

Tom’s Initial Journey

Starting his journey wasn’t easy.

Tom completed his first workout with us in early August. He started out with our on-ramp program and as soon as he finished, he started coming to group classes.

Since Tom was new to CrossFit, we started slow and steady. The first 2 weeks, we took Tom through 4 1-on-1 workouts. Once he joined group classes, he started coming 3x/week consistently.

Tom gradually increased his attendance, eventually committing to working out every day.

The First 90 Days

Tom committed himself to working out regularly, completing an impressive 75 workouts in his first 90 days This is a seriously impressive feat (not many people do this).

Alongside his consistent gym routine, Tom made significant changes to his diet. He embraced healthier eating habits, focusing on nutritious, balanced meals and cutting back on processed foods and sugars. This combination of regular exercise and mindful eating allowed him to achieve sustainable weight loss.

Accountability played a crucial role in Tom’s success.
