Lana’s Journey: The Amazing Transformation After 500 CrossFit Workouts (and counting)

Lana joined CrossFit Showdown in May 2021, just seven months after I started coaching here. Since then, she has been one of our most consistent members.

In just 3 1/2 years, Lana has made incredible strength gains, improved her conditioning, and become a true ambassador for our gym.

In this blog post, we will highlight Lana’s incredible accomplishments and tell you exactly what she did to get where she is today.

500+ Workouts

As I am writing this blog post, Lana is sitting at 731 workouts. That is an average of 4 workouts per week for 3.5 years straight.

If you workout Monday through Friday for one hour for 2 years straight, you will accumulate 500 workouts. That is a life-changing amount of time dedicated to fitness.

This milestone is incredibly impressive because showing up to the gym is one of the hardest things to do.

Putting yourself first and making time for you is especially hard as a parent.

Lana understands that her one-hour daily workout is what she needs to kickstart her day, feel good, and gain the necessary energy to be present for her family.

Consistency is at the core of her routine and at this point, fitness is a non-negotiable.

Strength Gains and Personal Records

500 workouts will change your life.

I’ve been coaching CrossFit for over 4 years and I’ve seen hundreds, if not over a thousand people come through my gym. The people who have accumulated 500 workouts are strong, conditioned, and capable. They have dedicated so much time to fitness, that it will be ingrained in their routine for the rest of their life.

Here are some of Lana’s most impressive accomplishments:

  • Lana can run a mile in ~ 8:00
  • She added almost 100 lbs to her back squat from when she started
  • She can deadlift 185 lbs
  • She can do pull-ups

The list goes on…

These numbers are all possible with consistency, dedication, and perseverance.

CrossFit Showdown team

An Ambassador for CrossFit Showdown

If we had brand ambassadors, Lana would be one of the first. She’s referred more people than I can count—or actually, I can count! She’s brought her husband and two friends to the gym, each inspired by her enthusiasm and results.

When one person in your household or immediate friend group is working out, it makes it a little easier to get someone else in your circle to start working out. Fitness has a compounding effect on the people closest to you.

Her positive reviews and glowing results make her a true ambassador for CrossFit Showdown.

Lana is an integral part of our community, and her influence extends beyond the gym. She sets a powerful example for her children, showing them the value of dedication and a healthy lifestyle.
