Over the past year, Chava has shown what it means to be resilient, committed, and focused—even with the demanding schedule of being a busy mom of two.
Starting Her Journey
Chava joined CrossFit Showdown one year ago with a clear goal: to lose weight after her second pregnancy and regain her confidence.
Like many moms, she struggled to carve out time for herself while balancing the demands of being a parent.
Already with a background in CrossFit, she easily adjusted to the class schedule, class flow, and intensity of the workouts.
Over the past year, she has leaned into the support from her community at CrossFit Showdown.
Overcoming Obstacles
One of the hurdles Chava faced early in her journey was a lingering hip injury. This could have easily become a roadblock, but Chava’s commitment to her goals kept her moving forward. She listened to her coaches, who provided scaled movements and modifications to keep her safe while strengthening her hip. Over time, the pain in her hip slowly went away, and she’s now back to her full capability.
Another challenge that most parents struggle with is finding time to exercise during the holidays.
But not for Chava. She made it a priority to attend classes 3-4 times a week.
Commitment to Growth
One of the things we love most about Chava is her eagerness to improve. She’s not just showing up—she’s actively seeking feedback and coaching to make the most out of every workout. This mindset has led to tremendous progress in her strength, endurance, and overall fitness. Whether it’s her lifting technique a lift, or scaling a workout to her needs, Chava’s willingness to learn has helped her tremendously.
Celebrating the Wins
In her first year at CrossFit Showdown, Chava has completed over 100 workouts—a huge milestone! She’s become a role model for others in the gym, showing that it’s possible to juggle a busy life and still make time for yourself. Her dedication to self-improvement and her positive attitude have made her an integral part of our community.
Chava’s story is a reminder that progress isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up, doing the work, and commitment to your goals. As a mom of two, she’s proving that prioritizing your health is one of the best gifts you can give to yourself and your family.
