5 Tips For Achieving Fitness Success in 2025

The COVID-19 pandemic happened five years ago.

In 2025, prioritizing fitness should be a non-negotiable part of your life.

If you didn’t dedicate time to fitness in 2024, take this as your sign to start now. Your future self will thank you for it.

You need a fitness routine and you need a system to hold you accountable for showing up. In this blog post, we will tell you exactly how you can be successful with your fitness regimen in 2025.

Be Consistent.

Showing up five times a week and giving 60% effort consistently will yield far better results than sporadic efforts at 100% intensity.

If you’re doing CrossFit (and yes, we highly recommend it), avoid the temptation to push at 90-100% effort every single workout. That’s not sustainable and can lead to burnout or injury. Instead, aim for:

3-4 workouts per week at 60-75% effort to build your base, focus on technique, and prioritize long-term progress.

1-2 workouts per week where you push yourself to your limit.

Additionally, you should listen to your body and scale workouts accordingly. Modify movements if you are injured, reduce weights if you are feeling extra sore, and talk to your coach if you are unsure of what to do.

Integrate Strength Training, Cardio, and Gymnastics for a Balanced Fitness Routine.

A well-rounded fitness routine is essential. Strength training builds muscle and improves metabolism, cardio enhances endurance and heart health, and gymnastics develops body awareness and mobility.

You will become extremely fit if you train those three modalities consistently and effectively.

If you’re working out solo, aim to integrate all three modalities into your routine. A balance of weightlifting, running or biking, and bodyweight movements like pull-ups or push-ups will help you achieve a high level of fitness.

Not sure how to program this effectively? At CrossFit Showdown, our coaches create varied, purposeful programming that ensures you’re hitting all three elements every week—so you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Eat Meat, Vegetables, Nuts & Seeds, Some Fruit, Little Starch, and No Sugar.

If you are going to workout consistently, you need to properly fuel your body.

Focus on eating:

  • Meat and vegetables as the base of your meals.
  • Nuts, seeds, and some fruit as additional sources of healthy fats and vitamins.
  • Little starch and no sugar to keep energy levels steady and avoid inflammation.
